Riverside’s annual Winter Wonderland opens Saturday, Dec. 2, at a new location: Arlington Heights Sports Park, 9401 Cleveland Ave.

The one-day event lasts from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., featuring more than 50 tons of snow for sledding, bounce houses, photos with Santa, crafts, entertainment, prizes, games, face painting and food vendors.

Wristbands can be purchased for the youth fun-zone activities and 20 minutes of snow sledding. Fun-zone wristbands are for sale at or at any community center. Wristbands purchased before 4 p.m. Dec. 1 cost $13 per person. They’re $15 the day of the event. Wristbands purchased online will be available at the pre-registration/will-call booth Saturday.

The city’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department and Arlington Business Partnership are hosting the event, which was previously held at the Orange Terrace Community Center.
