Willie Nelson cancels Palm Desert show, citing illness
PALM DESERT — Willie Nelson canceled a scheduled performance Monday night, Jan. 8, at Palm Desert’s McCallum Theatre due to an undisclosed illness.
Nelson, 84, had been scheduled to perform alongside his son, Lukas. Theater officials said they hope to reschedule the performance, and anyone who purchased a ticket for tonight’s show may hold onto the ticket pending a new date or return it for a refund or exchange.
Tickets must be returned by Feb. 18 to receive a refund. Tickets can be returned to the box office, mailed to McCallum Theatre, Attn: Refund, 73000 Fred Waring Drive, faxed to 760-779-9445, or scanned and emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org . Tickets must be returned with the word “refund” written across the face of the ticket.
The McCallum Theatre can only refund tickets that came from the box office. Tickets from third-party sellers must be refunded through those sources.
For more information on obtaining a refund, call the box office at 760-340-2787.
Nelson performed at last year’s Stagecoach Music Festival in Indio. His website lists three more tour dates with his son in California and Nevada, then an east coast tour beginning Feb. 7 with Los Lonely Boys.
