Three arts facilities have shared the UCR Artsblock in Riverside since 2010, but that was about it.

They were separate entities at the same place.

Now the California Museum of Photography, Jack and Marilyn Sweeney Art Gallery and Barbara and Art Culver Center are coming together to offer more joint exhibitions.

The first is “Mundos Alternos: Art and Science Fiction in the Americas,” which will be on display until Feb. 4.

“It establishes, I feel finally, all our organizations as an arts district,” said Shelia Bergman, executive director of ARTSblock.
