What’s open, what’s closed in the Inland area for Veterans Day 2017

GOVERNMENT OFFICES: All federal, state, Riverside and San Bernardino county, and most city offices will be closed Friday.

MAIL DELIVERY: Mail will be delivered on Friday. No delivery service on Saturday.

FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS: Banks, savings and loans, and credit unions will be open Friday and closed Saturday, including in-store branches.

STORES: Most will be open.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: Riverside Transit Agency, Dial-A-Ride, Omnitrans Bus and Metrolink will operate on normal schedules.

LIBRARIES: Will be open on Friday and closed on Saturday.

SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES: School districts in Riverside and San Bernardino counties will not be in session Friday. Most colleges and universities will be closed. California Baptist University, La Sierra University, Loma Linda University and University of Redlands will be open.

GARBAGE PICKUP: City of Riverside routes will not have service on Friday. Burrtec, Waste Management of the Inland Empire and CR&R trash routes will have regular service. Riverside and San Bernardino county landfills will be open.
