An additional 15 exam rooms and full-time OB/GYN services are now available at the Eastside Health Center in Riverside thanks to a new, 7,200-square foot medical clinic.
Riverside Community Health Foundation held a ribbon cutting for their clinic, at 1971
University Avenue Building B, on Thursday, Nov. 9.
The addition will address growing demand, particularly for uninsured and underserved communities, said Nereida Yañez, clinic site manager for Eastside Health Center.

The existing facility — now known as Eastside Health Center Building A — saw 23,888 patient visits in 2016, a news release said.
“Eastside Health Center, Building A has been at maximum capacity for some time now, with a high-demand for services in the women’s health (OB/GYN) department,” Yañez said in a news release.
In addition to full OB/GYN services, the new facility includes two family medicine doctors, eight rotating residents from the Riverside Community Hospital/UCR School of Medicine’s Graduate Medical Education Program and on-site laboratory and X-ray services.
