What is closed for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in the Inland area

Government offices: Federal, state and county offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 15 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Most city offices will be closed.

Mail delivery: None Monday

Financial institutions: Closed Monday

Stores: Most will be open

Public transportation: Riverside Transit Agency, Dial-A-Ride, Omnitrans and Metrolink will have regular service Monday.

Libraries: Closed Monday. The A.K. Smiley Library in Redlands will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

Schools and colleges: Most are closed Monday, except Loma Linda University and University of Redlands will be open.

Garbage pickup: City of Riverside Solid Waste Trash and Recycling Services, and Burrtec Solid Waste (Riverside) will not have service Monday. Pickup will have a one-day delay of service. Residents serviced by CR&R, Waste Management of the Inland Empire, City of Redlands and Burrtec Solid Waste (San Bernardino) will have regular service. Riverside and San Bernardino county landfills will be open.
