Big VIII League

NORCO (5-3, 3-0) AT CENTENNIAL (6-1, 3-0)

Game info: Centennial has posted a remarkable 89-3 record in league games since the 2000 season, and the Huskies will look to extend the program’s Inland-record league winning streak to 44 games on Friday. Centennial lead the CIF-Southern Section in scoring (58 points per game) and also is tops in the section with 537 yards per game. Tanner McKee was 7 for 7 for 194 yards in last week’s game against Corona, and he threw four touchdowns and ran for another. Norco is the program that has handed Centennial all three of those league losses since 2000, but the most recent one was in 2009. The Cougars had 614 yards in last week’s shootout against Santiago. Travis Dye rushed for 273 yards and four touchdowns, while Nick Lasher completed 20 of 27 passes for 327 yards and three touchdowns.

ROOSEVELT (6-2, 2-1) AT SANTIAGO (5-3, 1-2)

Game info: This is an important game for both teams in terms of playoff positioning, as Santiago and Roosevelt were No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, in the most recent Division 4 rankings. Roosevelt has posted back-to-back wins since losing to Centennial. Jeremy Moussa completed 22 of 29 passes for 236 yards and two touchdowns and he also rushed for a touchdowns last week against King. Santiago rolled up 499 yards last week but came up short in a 56-42 loss to Norco. Nathaniel Castillo threw for 348 yards and four touchdowns, with three of the scoring passes going to Donovan Witherspoon.

Southwestern League
