Vehicle crashes into Moreno Valley apartment building, no one hurt

MORENO VALLEY — A motorist plowed into a Moreno Valley apartment building Friday, but no one was injured.

The crash was reported about 3:15 p.m. at the intersection of Filaree Avenue and Perris Boulevard, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

An agency spokeswoman said when crews arrived at the location, they found a vehicle nearly halfway inside the two-story structure. Firefighters gauged the depth of penetration to be roughly four feet.

Neither the driver nor any occupants of the building required medical treatment, according to the fire department.

Sheriff’s deputies were investigating the cause of the crash.
