ANAHEIM — Only one undefeated fighter remains in the top 10 of the UFC’s featherweight division, and Brian Ortega made sure it wasn’t Renato Moicano.

After two competitive rounds spent almost entirely on the feet, No. 8 Ortega turned a takedown attempt from No. 9 Moicano into a guillotine choke, forcing the Brazilian to tap out for his first loss at 2:59 of the third round Saturday at the UFC 214 prelims at Honda Center.

Ranked No. 8 in the 145-pound division, Ortega (12-0, 1 NC) not only remains perfect in the UFC, but he has finished all five opponents. He also extended his UFC record with four consecutive stoppages in the third round.

Knight had won his past four UFC fights, his last an impressive third-round TKO of Chas Skelly.

Lamas (18-5) had his number, however, getting Knight (20-3) down early and working him over. […]
