The 6-foot-8, 250-pound Mason also got offers from Cal, Boise State and San Diego State. He graduated from Torrey Pines High and played one season at Southwestern Community College, accumulating 22 total tackles and 4½ sacks in six games.

Mason is UCLA’s third defensive lineman for this class, joining Antonio Mafi, who signed last month, and weak-side defensive end Elijah Wade, who announced his verbal commitment Sunday.

UCLA’s recruiting class is ranked 18th in the country and fourth in the Pac-12, according to 247 Sports’ Composite Rankings.
