Twentynine Palms pedestrian walks into traffic, struck by car

A teenage pedestrian walked into the roadway on Twentynine Palms Highway where he was struck by a motorist at 9:20 p.m. Saturday, July 22, according to a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department news release.
The driver told deputies she was driving east on the highway when for unknown reasons the pedestrian walked into the roadway, near Utah Trail in Twentynine Palms.
Two people stopped to assist the approximately 15-year-old victim who was lying on the side of the road. He was airlifted to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
