Thousands of San Bernardino children receive gifts at first Citadel Community Development toy drive

Earlier this week Jessica Koahou told her seven children she was waking them up early on Friday to get to Citadel Community Development before the rush.

The family arrived at 7:15 a.m. and already there was a line around the block.

Citadel — a San Bernardino nonprofit offering job training, STEM programs and other career services to low-income families — hosted its first toy drive Friday for hundreds of children eager to open something before Christmas.
