This new card will get local shoppers a discount at select Redlands small businesses
A new promotion card looks to connect small businesses with consumers.
The “We Are Redlands” appreciation card is the brainchild of Brian Seghers, owner of Rendition Tattoo, who wanted to help businesses publicize themselves without spending too much out of pocket.
“A lot of people do a lot of good in the community and sometimes it goes unnoticed,” Seghers said Tuesday, Nov. 21, in his downtown shop.
More than two dozen businesses are featured on the card, which are $20 a piece and are now available at participating businesses, including Rendition at 611 W. Redlands Blvd.

Some shops like A Shop Called Quest on the corner of Orange Street and Citrus Avenue and Post War Modern, a furniture shop at 590 Nevada St., offer patrons a 10 percent discount on their purchase, while Energy Lab on Citrus Avenue will give cardholders a free class.
Only 1,000 cards have been printed and will be available until supplies last. The card expires on Feb. 1, but if all goes well, a similar promotion could take place.
The goal of the card is to promote all of Redlands. While some may think the focus is only on businesses along State Street between Orange Street and Redlands Boulevard, Seghers says that is not the case.
