Suddenly Hatch chiles seem to be everywhere: in grocery store produce bins, in frozen foods and now in the menu of a fast casual restaurant chain.

The Habit Burger Grill is featuring Hatch chiles in three seasonal items:

Burger: A single patty burger features green chiles, pepper jack cheese, and a Hatch chile aioli for $4.99.

Chicken sandwich: Grilled chicken breast, also with chiles, pepper jack and Hatch chile aioli, but on grilled sourdough bread instead of a bun for $6.99.

The Grilled Hatch & Golden Chicken Salad costs $7.50 at The Habit Burger Grill.

Salad: Breaded chicken and grilled chiles on green with crumbled bacon and cilantro lime ranch dressing for $7.50.

The Habit was born in Santa Barbara but now has headquarters in Irvine. It has Inland locations in Eastvale, Hesperia, Menifee, Rancho Cucamonga, Redlands, Riverside and Upland, with new restaurants coming to Victorville and near UC Riverside.
