Ten softball players who graduated from Inland area high schools are among 61 players who have been invited to participate in the 2018 Women’s National Team selection camp.

Vista Murrieta is the alma mater of three of the players: Taylor Edwards and sisters Sierra and Sydney Romero. The other Inland players who’ve been to the selection camp are Chelsea Goodacre (Temecula Valley), Paige Halstead (Los Osos), Sahvanna Jaquish (Redlands East Valley), Mo Mercado (Great Oak), Alexis Osorio (King), Danielle O’Toole (St. Lucy’s) and Delaney Splauding (Etiwanda). Goodacre has declined her invitation.

Halstead and Spaulding were members of the 2016 and 2017 national team. O’Toole was on the 2017 national team, and Sierra Romero was on the 2015 national team.

USA Softball also will be having an open tryout in Clearwater, Fla., on Dec. 31, 2017.
