A teenage girl was assaulted in a robbery at a home in Riverside’s Orangecrest neighborhood on Saturday, Aug. 26, Riverside police said.

The crime happened just after 2 p.m. in the 8400 block of Syracuse Street, Officer Ryan Railsback said. A woman approached the girl outside as the girl approached the front door. A second person then pushed the girl down.

Two people ransacked the house as a third robber held the girl. The three then fled with property in a dark-colored, four-door sedan, Railsback said. No arrests had been made as of Monday afternoon, Aug. 28.

One suspect was described as a black woman in her 20s, 5 feet tall and 150 pounds with black, shoulder-length hair with a black T-shirt, black pants and possibly a white headband.

A second was described as a man in his 40s with a grey T-shirt and black pants. He was wearing a black mask.

The third was described as a man with black hair, a blue or dark-colored baseball cap, a black shirt and a yellow reflective vest.
