Suspect surrenders after barricade situation in Highland
By Gail Wesson
A suspect barricaded himself inside a Highland house for about 1 1/2 hours Sunday afternoon, Dec. 31, before he was taken into custody, a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s spokeswoman said.
Other details about the incident were not immediately available.
A video of the scene in the 7400 block of Lynwood Way, south of East Baseline Street, showed a man wearing a yellow firefighter shirt carrying an infant to the street and into the arms of a woman who held a bottle. A deputy is then seen escorting a man to a patrol vehicle.
The call came in at 3:04 p.m. and the suspect was taken into custody about 4:41 p.m., Deputy Olivia Bozek wrote in an email.
