For years, San Bernardino County’s State of the County event has become an annual mainstay attraction drawing thousands of business leaders and government officials to the Citizens Business Bank Arena, in Ontario, for one of the biggest networking events in the region.

And on March 13, the event, now called the San Bernardino County Regional Business Forum and State of the County, returns. This year’s event is titled, “Driving the Future of Business,” emphasizing the county’s commitment to creating a robust business environment. Among topics to be discussed include retaining and attracting a skilled workforce, encouraging entrepreneurship, the economic impact of regaining local control of Ontario International Airport, and keeping up to speed in a changing business climate.

“Our county continues to attract young people who appreciate the affordable quality of life the region provides. We are committed to further ensuring that we have the jobs they need as well as helping to keep our workforce and region ready and able to meet the demands of business,” Board of Supervisors Chairman Robert Lovingood in a statement Wednesday. “This event will encourage more opportunity and conversation as it brings together more than 1,000 business and community leaders to share ideas.”

The event begins at 4:30 p.m., with a pre-event panel discussion scheduled for 3 p.m. It follows its traditional format including an introduction by the county Board of Supervisors chairman and a video featuring commentary by local, regional and national business leaders on the region’s business climate.

Citizens Business Bank Arena is located at 4000 Ontario Center, in Ontario.
