Solaris Paper broke ground Friday on a new manufacturing and distribution plant in Moreno Valley.

The company makes facial tissue, bath tissue and paper towels. Its brands include LoCor, Livi, and Fiora.

The company is based in Santa Fe Springs but announced in October it will move to Moreno Valley in an expansion. It said in a news release it plans to transfer 175 employees and hire new ones.

The 800,000-square-foot facility will be on Eucalyptus Avenue south of the 60 Freeway.

The company expects to ramp up to full operation there in early 2019.
