Six Flags Magic Mountain changing early entry access with new membership
Six Flags Magic Mountain has something new coming this year: the Gold Plus Membership.
Starting at $7.85 a month, the membership covers admission and parking to all Six Flags theme and water parks nationwide, plus other benefits such as up to 20 percent savings on food and drink purchases, previews of new rides, and early admission.
Getting in the park ten minutes early used to be a perk of the annual Gold Season Pass. Now that’s going to be reserved only for members. By the end of February, Six Flags Magic Mountain is introducing three more memberships with an option for existing members and pass holders to upgrade if they want in on all of the benefits.
But not everyone is on board yet.
“These new memberships are ridiculous and confusing,” Andrew Anderson, a 25-year-old Gold pass holder from Santa Clarita, said via Facebook Messenger.
Park employees are preparing Gold pass holders for the change, but they aren’t preventing anyone from standing in the early entry line as yet.
“We’re doing this as a gradual transition because we know there’s a lot of people who already have gold passes for the current season,” said Melissa Taylor, Six Flags Magic Mountain’s official season pass and membership guru. “But it is going to be a Gold Plus Membership exclusive.”
