Sewer work delaying traffic in Riverside’s Mission Grove neighborhood

Work is underway to fix a failing sewer main that has already caused three spills near Mission Grove Plaza in Riverside.

The $4.8 million project, which started July 1, is expected to take about four months and will run along Alessandro Boulevard from Barton Street to Trautwein Road, and south on Trautwein to Mission Grove Parkway.

Construction hours will include nights and weekends so the project can be done quickly. One lane on both Alessandro and Trautwein will be closed, so drivers should expect minor delays. The work will start at Barton and move west on Alessandro, then south on Trautwein.
