Sentencing postponed for former Redlands firefighter, ex-girlfriend guilty of murder
The sentencing hearing for a former Redlands firefighter convicted in the murder of his former lover’s husband has been postponed.
Jonathan Hearn, 26, of Hesperia, pleaded guilty in January to shooting the husband of Sabrina Limon, 37, of Helendale. Her husband, Robert Limon, was found shot to death Aug. 17, 2014 at a Tehachapi railway building where he worked.
Hearn and Sabrina Limon, who was convicted in October for conspiring to kill her husband, were scheduled to be sentenced this week but those hearings have been delayed.
Hearn, who will be sentenced to 25 years and four months in prison under terms of a plea agreement with prosecutors, is due back in court Nov. 17 in Kern County.
The sentencing for Sabrina Limon, who faces 25 years to life in prison, was canceled Friday, Nov. 3, and set for Feb. 16 in Kern County to allow her new attorney time to file a motion for a new trial, according to Deputy District Attorney Eric Smith.
The murder of Robert Limon and subsequent trial is the subject of a new “Dateline” episode, “Secrets in Silver Lakes,” airing at 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, on NBC.
