Saturday update for wildfires burning in San Bernardino Country

That point is being made with at least 15 different wildfires burning throughout the state, according to Cal Fire officials. More than 3,000 firefighters are working on these incidents.

In the Inland area, two stubborn fires have been burning throughout the last few weeks.

The Mart fire, which started Tuesday, June 27 caused mandatory evacuations in Highland along with injuring a firefighter. Cal Fire says that fire has burned 670 acres and is now 95 percent contained.

The Silver fire broke out Tuesday, July 4 near Silverwood Lake and was originally reported as a car fire. At its peak on July 4th, more than 200 firefighters were working the blaze. The Saturday update states the fire has burned 13 acres, but is now 60 percent contained.

The most recent situation, the Bryant fire near Mentone, has seen the acreage decrease from 74 to 60, but containment staying steady at 70 percent.
