The 25th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. walk-a-thon is set for Monday, Jan. 15, in Riverside.

The event allows Inland residents to gather and remember the life and legacy of King, whose birthday is celebrated as a federal holiday the same day. The theme is “Silent No More: The March Continues.” After the walk there will be presentations, live music, a health fair, scholarship announcements and vendors, a news release states.

Registration is from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and costs $15, which includes a commemorative T-shirt.

The walk begins at 10 a.m. Bordwell Park’s Stratton Center, 2008 Martin Luther King Blvd. and ends at Riverside Community College’s Digital Library, 4800 Magnolia Ave. Free shuttles from Riverside Community College to Bordwell Park will leave every 15 minutes.
