Riverside resident identified as fatal stabbing victim

The man found stabbed to death in front of a Riverside home on Saturday, July 22, has been identified as Louis Lopez, 35, of Riverside, according to a Riverside County Sheriff/Coroner’s news release.

Lopez was found in a front yard of a house in the 6000 block of Elenor Street. Police responded at about 12:36 a.m. after receiving a report of a stabbing. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The case is under investigation. Officials are asking anyone who may have information about the stabbing to call Detective Rick Cobb at 951-353-7135 or Detective Karla Corbett at 951-353-7134.
