RIVERSIDE — Police on Friday released video surveillance on the department Facebook page showing one of the shooters in an altercation in front of a closed bar in the downtown area on Oct. 15.

The video shows an adult male firing a handgun. He is black, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, medium build, close-cut black hair, and wearing a black T-shirt with a white emblem or logo, dark jeans and brown shoes, Riverside police said on the Facebook page.

The gunman appears to be with a woman who is white or Latino, of medium height and build, red hair, wearing a black dress and red shoes, police said.

The gunshot shown on the video was a segment from a 3 a.m. altercation between two groups of people near a closed bar in the 3500 block of University Avenue. At least two people from these groups exchanged gunfire. Police said they have not located anyone hit by gunfire in the incident.

The people involved left before police arrived, the Facebook posting said.

Anyone with information about the shooting, or who knows the identities of the male suspect and/or female acquaintance, is asked to contact Detective Brett Stennett at (951) 353-7213 or bstennett@riversideca.gov.
