Riverside holiday boutique to help children in need
By Staff report
The Assistance League of Riverside has set a preview sale and reception for its annual Holiday Boutique from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6, in the chapter’s Thrift Shop, 3707 Sunnyside Drive, Riverside.
“We usually have people lined up at our doors the morning when the boutique opens, and we know some people even take off work to see what we have,” said Judy Anderson, president. “The evening preview will make shopping easier for some of our customers, and it will raise additional funds for our philanthropies.”
The sale will open Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and continue through Dec. 22. The shop is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
Items for sale include holiday decorations, clothing, house wares, gift items, linens and toys.
Tickets for the preview are $5 each.
Proceeds will help local children through the group’s philanthropic programs. Last year, according to a news release from the group, the chapter’s programs touched more than 8,000 local children and youth in need.
