Riverside firefighters clean up pool chemicals spill after collision

The Riverside Fire Department hazardous materials team worked to minimize the effects from a spill of chlorine and pool acid at a traffic accident at Canyon Crest Drive and Central Avenue on Sunday, July 9, according to a department news release.

The collision between several vehicles was reported at 3:36 p.m., including one carrying a load of the pool chemicals that spilled.

One person trapped in the collision had to be extricated.
