The Riverside County Department of Environmental Health will be spraying for mosquitos between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. in Murrieta Thursday evening, July 13, and residents are encouraged to stay inside for the period.

Workers will be using mosquito control product Zenivex over an approximately 36-acre area bordered by Jackson Avenue to the north and Monroe Avenue to the southwest, according to a department news release.

Nearby residents are encouraged to remain indoors up to 15 minutes after the spray is applied to minimize exposure. However, the amount that will be sprayed — 3 ounces per acre — is safe for humans, animals and plants.
