Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating three armed robberies in the Perris area — and one attempted robbery — at businesses over about a three-hour period Wednesday night, according to sheriff’s spokesman Armando Munoz.
In each instance the suspect brandished a handgun. No one was hurt in any of the incidents and the amount of money taken was not disclosed, Munoz said.
Munoz gave this account:
The first robbery was at a business in the 400 block of South Redlands Avenue in Perris at 5:15 p.m. and the second incident at 7:30 pm. was an attempted robbery in the 19200 block of Harvill Avenue near the Cajalco Expressway in Mead Valley.
That was followed by another robbery at 7:50 p.m. at a business at North Perris Boulevard and East Nuevo Road in Perris and finally a robbery at 8:10 p.m. in the 700 block of West Ramona Expressway, also in Perris.
Munoz said it wasn’t immediately known if the incidents are related and whether one or more suspects were involved is also part of the investigation.
The Sheriff’s Department does not identify the names of businesses affected by crimes. Descriptions of the suspect or suspects in the robberies were not immediately available.
