Riverside County Coroner’s officials identifies 79-year-old who died after being struck by a pickup truck
RIVERSIDE >> A 79-year-old man who died after being struck by a pick-up truck while crossing a street in Riverside has been identified as a Gerald Sherman, the Riverside County Coroner’s Office recently announced.
Sherman, a Riverside resident, was crossing Brockton Avenue at Bandini Avenue in a marked crosswalk at about 8:40 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26, when he was hit, according to reports from the police and coroner’s office.
Sherman was taken to Riverside Community Hospital, but died about five hours later, officials said.
The collision is under investigation.
