Reportedly drunken driver slams into side of Twentynine Palms home
A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after he crashed through a fence and into a Twentynine Palms home early Halloween morning, San Bernardino County sheriff’s officials said.
Just after 4:30 a.m., deputies from the Morongo Basin Station were called to a home in the 3700 block of Adobe Road for a crash, according to a sheriff’s news release.
Deputies learned Juan Marquez of Twentynine Palms had driven a Nissan truck through the home’s fence and into the home, the statement said. They subsequently determined Marquez was drunk when the crash took place, officials said.
No one was hurt in the crash. Deputies arrested Marquez on suspicion of DUI and he was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail.
