Report of suspicious vehicle leads to Rancho Cucamonga mail, identity theft arrests

A tipster reported a suspicious vehicle in Rancho Cucamonga that may be associated with mail theft and responding San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies found stolen mail, drug paraphernalia and tools to enter locked mail boxes on Tuesday, Nov. 28, according to a sheriff’s news release.

The tip came in at 12:55 a.m. from the area near Redbud Place and Firethorn Street and deputies made contact with Lisa Haring, 26, of Corona, and John Morgan, 56, of Upland, the news release stated.

Inside their vehicle, deputies found evidence of mail and identity theft. They were arrested on suspicion of identity theft and possession of stolen mail and remain in custody at West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.

Haring’s bail was set at $50,000 and Morgan’s at $25,000, according to jail records. Haring had two other warrants for her arrest, including one for identity theft.
