Nearly 300 acres west of Old Town Temecula could soon be home to up to 1,750 residential units.

The Temecula Planning Commission has set a public hearing at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, on the proposed Altair project. The session will be at City Hall, 41000 Main St.

The project includes residential units, parks and an elementary school, in addition to the building of a bypass to link Temecula Parkway and Diaz Road.
