Property from vehicle burglaries and stolen car recovered in Menifee

Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies recovered a large quantity of property linked to several vehicle burglaries when they found a vehicle that had been reported stolen and arrested the driver in Menifee on Tuesday, according to a sheriff’s news release.

The Menifee special enforcement team located a Honda Civic at about 8 a.m. parked in the 26000 block of Byers Road in Menifee that had been reported stolen in the unincorporated community of Meadowbrook earlier in the day.

Dan Dalton, 33, of Lake Elsinore was arrested on suspicion of auto theft, possession of stolen property and a parole violation. He remains in custody at Cois M. Byrd Detention Center in French Valley, according to jail records. No bail is set.

Deputies determined the property found in the car had been taken from the Heritage Lake neighborhood in the city of Menifee.
