Power outage in Fontana affects more than 3,000 customers
A crash knocked out power to more than 3,000 customers Saturday afternoon as temperatures in the area topped the 100-degree mark.
The power outage is affecting 3,041 Southern California Edison customers.
The outage was first reported around 2 p.m. in the area of Arrow Route and Cherry Avenue, according to the Southern California Edison outage map.
The map showed a total of 3,041 SCE customers were left without power.
Although a cause was not given, the Edison outage map site showed crews were working to restore power by 4:30 p.m.
By 6 p.m., 36 customers were without power.
