POMONA — A 29-year-old gang member was arrested Thursday in Pomona on suspicion of having a stolen firearm, police said.

Officers served a search warrant around 1 p.m. in the 1100 block of Neva Street, where they contacted Francisco Cisneros, a Pomona resident and documented Los Angeles gang member, said Pomona Police Cpl. J. Martinez.

Cisneros admitted to officers he was in possession of an illegally owned firearm, which was later found in the residence along with several live ammunition rounds, Martinez said.

Cisneros was arrested on suspicion of being a gang member in possession of a loaded firearm and ammunition, and being in possession of a stolen firearm, according to Martinez.
