Ranking the top 10 sports events Dec. 4-10 you won’t want to miss:

NO. 1: NFL WEEK 14
Details/TV: At the Coliseum, Sunday, 1:25 p.m., Ch. 11
Maybe this is a time to start thinking about a sequel to “Silver Linings Playbook,” meshing the Eagles’ new-found success with the curiosity as to what has happened to crazy fans Pat, Tiffany and, of course, Pat Sr. Picture Robert De Niro in his Bill Bergey No. 66 Eagles home jersey pacing around in the Coliseum parking lot as he ponders the latest betting odds – assuming he hasn’t been banned from the place for starting another fight. Bradley Cooper, sporting his No. 10 DeShawn Jackson jersey, is going insane trying to protect Jennifer Lawrence from getting hit on by other drunk fans. We’d also have to assume they were all part of the Eagles’ loud-and-proud contingent that took over StubHub Center last Oct. 1 for what was technically a Chargers’ home game, yet Philly celebrated a 26-24 win. While the Eagles have been the league’s most efficient team according to Football Power Index standards, they’ve also learned how to entertain the folks with end-zone dances — again, perhaps as a result of Tiffany’s influence. Electric slides, players falling down like bowling pins (including a nice backward somersault by quarterback Carson Wentz) and even a recreation of a bank robbery have been part of the routines. It may be a not-ready-for-prime-time encounter – the Eagles have had plenty of them already this season – but the Rams will take Fox’s prime-time team of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman on the call.

NO. 2: NFL WEEK 14

The Chargers have their first opportunity to climb above the .500 mark. Who’d have thought that possible […]
