People react to the death of man known as WeHo Jesus, Kevin Short, 57
Many may have not known his name but his message was clear: Love is Love.
Kevin Short, one of West Hollywood’s most iconic and eccentric figures, may be best known as WeHo Jesus. He would often be seen, flowing hair resting upon his shoulders and dressed in a flowing white gown, carrying a sign that read, “Marry Who You Love. News broke Wednesday night that recently died at the age of 57, and people have been reacting to his death using the hashtag #WeHoJesus.

I have just learned that Kevin Lee Light, aka WeHo Jesus, passed away after a brief illness.

First reported by his neighbor, Brian Hamilton, on Facebook then confirmed by local news outlet, WEHOville, Short died Dec. 13 after a “brief illness.”
Short was called “L.A.’s 12 Most Loveable Local Weirdos” by Thrillist and has been the subject of several profile pieces in local and international media.
