From all walks of life, they served.

On Saturday, Nov. 11 — though the holiday fell on a weekend — residents across the Inland area took time out of their schedules to thank these veterans.

At Riverside National Cemetery, a bugle call sounded at 11 a.m. sharp to begin a ceremony that included music, a 21-gun salute, a military flyover and speeches.

In Murrieta, a parade featured fun; plenty of red, white and blue and a flyover. The event ended at Town Square Park’s Field of Honor, where more than 2,000 full-sized American flags fluttered in rows.
