BREA Investigators are looking for other victims of a 31-year-old foster-youth case manager charged with having sex with a minor and then bribing her to recant her statements to police.

Morris Leroi Brinker III, of Corona, faces a maximum of 14 years and eight months in prison after being arrested in July on suspicion of having sex with a 16-year-old dependent minor to whose case he was assigned, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement.

Brinker was a case manager for the Children’s Law Center of California, which represents abused or neglected foster children in Los Angeles County.

The victim’s case landed on Brinker’s desk. He then had sex with her in a Brea parking lot on June 29, the D.A.’s Office said.

Brinker was arrested four days later, on July 3, at his home in Corona.

He posted bail and was released. On July 17, Brinker was arrested in Fullerton – this time on suspicion of dissuading the 16-year-old girl from testifying and trying to bribe her.

Brinker, who was convicted of second-degree robbery and shooting at an inhabited building in 2005, is in Orange County Jail, with bail set at $1 million.

His next pre-trial hearing is set for Nov. 3.

After investigating, Brea police and the D.A.’s Office think there may be more victims, the statement said.

Anyone with more information, should call Brea detectives at 714-671-4438.
