ICYMI, Saved by the Max, a pop-up diner fashioned after the ’90s teen sitcom “Saved by the Bell,” is coming to West Hollywood.

“Saved by the Bell,” which was a popular Saturday morning show on NBC and went to live on in rerun form for years in syndication, starred Mark-Paul Gosselaar as Zack Morris, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen as Kelly Kapowski, Mario Lopez as A.C. Slater, Elizabeth Berkley as Jessie Spano, Lark Voorhies as Lisa Turtle, Dustin Diamond as Screech Powers and Dennis Haskins as principal Mr. Belding.

Sometimes there was a message, like the “No Hope With Dope” episode — hey it was the “Just Say No” era — and sometimes it was just goofy fun — think the “Behind the Music”-style episode “Rockumentary” on the band Zack Attack.

Saved by the Max tapped into the nostalgia with a spot-on replica of the gang’s hangout, and its initial run in Chicago was wildly popular.

The menu items are glorious–AC Sliders or a cocktail inspired by Jessie Spano’s caffeine pill episode, anyone — and there’s even a spot for Mr. Belding’s office and Kelly’s locker.

So in the spirit of all things “Saved by the Bell,” take a trip back to the days of M.C. Hammer pants and neon shirts and take our quiz to see if you’re going to the be valedictorian at graduation.
