Omnitrans increases bus service to Ontario International Airport

Omnitrans will expand its service to Ontario International Airport beginning Tuesday, Sept. 5, the day after Labor Day.

Route 61, which runs between Fontana and Pomona, will stop at the airport every 15 minutes between 4:45 a.m. and 10:45 p.m. on weekdays, according to a news release from the transit agency.

Other destinations on the route include Metrolink’s Fontana station, Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center, Citizens Business Bank Arena and Ontario Convention Center.

Full cash fare is $1.75, and a day pass is $5.

Alan D. Wapner, president of the Ontario International Airport Authority, is also a member of Omnitrans’ board of directors.
