Off-duty Pomona officer shoots at intruders in his Eastvale home

Burglary suspects who entered into an occupied Eastvale home owned by an off-duty Pomona police officer were fired upon Saturday afternoon, Dec. 23, sheriff’s officials said; the suspects remain at large.
Multiple suspects entered a house at the 6400 block of Caxton Street, where residents, including the officer, were inside around 1 p.m. Saturday, according to a Riverside County sheriff’s tweet.
The suspects fled the scene. It’s unknown if any of them was injured. Police are investigating.
