No injures reported in Eastvale warehouse fire
A blaze erupted Thursday on a loading dock at a megawarehouse in Eastvale, damaging the exterior of the building but not causing any injuries.
The fire was reported about 10 a.m. at a commercial distribution facility at 12510 Micro Drive, just off Hamner Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Agency officials said a conveyor system caught fire at one of the docks, with flames spreading into a container.
The 500,000-square-foot warehouse filled with smoke within a few minutes, prompting evacuations, according to reports from the scene.
The blaze was knocked down in less than 20 minutes, and damage was reportedly confined to the container.
Crews opened all bay doors around the facility to ventilate it, after which workers were permitted to resume operations, officials said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
