A 20-year-old Muscoy woman was arrested Thursday, Sept. 14, on suspicion of stabbing her ex-boyfriend multiple times with two different knives during an altercation, deputies said.

Kennedy Karo Hennings, 20, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and violating her post release community supervision. She remained booked at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga with no bail set, according to online jail records.

About 10 a.m. Thursday, deputies went to the Community Hospital of San Bernardino emergency room after getting a report of a man with a stab wound. They interviewed the man, who told them that his ex-girlfriend, Hennings, grabbed a knife from the kitchen during a dispute in the 2200 block of Darby Street and began stabbing him, a San Bernardino County sheriff’s news release says.

Officials say that at some point, the man was able to get the knife away from Hennings, so she went back to the kitchen, grabbed another knife and began attacking him again. During the second attack, they say, Hennings also yelled she was going to kill the man.

Deputies began searching the area, spotted Hennings’ car on Cajon Boulevard and State Street and did a traffic stop, according to the release.

Hennings tried to flee on foot but was captured and then booked on the attempted murder count, the release says.

Sheriff’s officials are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact Central Station at 909-387-3545. Anonymous tips can also be made by contacting the We-Tip Hotline at 1-800-782-7463 or
