An adult and two juveniles were arrested after Murrieta police officers spotted their vehicle traveling with no lights on early Wednesday, gave chase and learned that the vehicle was stolen, according to a police news release.
Officers found numerous items in the vehicle that appeared to have been taken in vehicle burglaries and they are returning items to owners.
Officers spotted the vehicle at about 2:41 a.m. near Milkwood Lane and Buckwood Way.
The vehicle left the area at high speed but the driver, identified as Gabriel Dorado, 18, of Winchester, collided with a parked car. Dorado and two 17-year-old males, who live in Winchester, ran away on foot but were quickly caught, according to the news release.
All were arrested on suspicion of auto theft, resisting an officer and hit and run.
Dorado was booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center in French Valley. He was released after posting $10,000 bail, according to jail records. The juveniles were taken to Southwest Juvenile Hall.
