Motorcyclist, 63, killed in Apple Valley crash

A 63-year-old man was killed Monday night after he crashed his motorcycle in Apple Valley, officials said.

Hanspeter Wahl was riding his motorcycle east on Outer Highway 18 near Valley Drive just before 11 p.m. Monday when he struck the curb and was tossed from his motorcycle, according to a San Bernardino County sheriff’s news release.

Paramedics took Wahl to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Apple Valley, but he later died.

The Apple Valley Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the crash.
