Moreno Valley apartment fire displaces 4 people

An adult and three children were displaced by an apartment fire Monday evening, Feb. 5, in an apartment complex in Moreno Valley, according to a Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department news release.

The fire was reported at 7:53 p.m. in the 12000 block of Carnation Lane and contained just after 8 p.m. The complex is northwest of Hemlock Avenue and Perris Boulevard.

The arriving firefighters spotted fire showing from the second floor of the complex and quickly contained it to the one unit. No injuries were reported.

The American Red Cross was contacted to help the displaced residents find temporary housing.
