More than 300 pounds of fireworks found during 2 separate San Bernardino traffic stops
SAN BERNARDINO >> Police discovered several hundred pounds of illegal fireworks during a traffic stop Thursday, May 18 in San Bernardino.
“Approximately 320 pounds of illegal fireworks found from a traffic stop at E St. and Orange Show,” police spokeswoman Eileen Hards posted Thursday on the social media website Nextdoor.com.
This is the second find of this type by police in less than 24 hours.
“There was another traffic stop Wednesday night, but I’m not sure of the weight of the fireworks in that case,” Hards said by phone. “No arrests have been made in either case, but felony charges are expected to be filed in both cases due to the amount and type of fireworks.”
